European retailer Solebox is collaborating with iconic American outdoor footwear label Timberland for the first time, outfitting the latter’s staple Premium 6-Inch Boot in a brown pony hair upper.
The Solebox x Timberland Premium 6-Inch Boot maintains all of the shoe’s classic components including its padded leather collar, double-sole design and metal hardware, but drapes the entire upper in a premium brown pony hair. Fittingly, Solebox’s description for the collaboration touts that “some icons don’t need a rebuild, just a new perspective.”
Co-branding is found throughout the boot, including at its signature heel Timberland tree logo which features an added Solebox script underneath. Solebox branding is also found on the boot’s hang tag and debossed leather insole.
Along with the upcoming collaboration, Timberland has previously issued its own in-house pony hair Heritage 6-Inch Boots, which are still available from select retailers for $240.
With just weeks left in the fall season, Timberland has already gotten off to a strong start as winter approaches. Already this season, the Stratham, New Hampshire-based company has released a surprise Peanuts collaboration, dropped a detail-heavy Día de Muertos pack for men and women and worked with retailer Kith to redesign some of its most iconic shoes.

In its second quarter fiscal year 2027 earnings results, VF Corporation touted Timberland as “delivering consistent growth.” The outdoor brand’s revenue reached $525.9 million, up 4 percent year-to-year.
Founded in Berlin in 2002, Solebox was an early and influential contributor to today’s sneaker collaboration landscape. It’s released collaborations with nearly every athletic footwear brand, although its recent output has slowed considerably. In addition to the upcoming Timberland project, Solebox’s 2026 collaborations include work with Clarks and Crocs.
The Solebox x Timberland Premium 6-Inch Boot will be released Saturday in limited quantities from all Solebox locations and solebox.com for 200 euros. A potential wider release has not yet been confirmed.
