Isha Ambani wore a Schiaparelli lace look with tulle collar detailing on a peplum jacket
The couture look focused on a sharply tailored black crin and lace jacket with sculpted shoulders and a peplum-inspired hem and princess seams shaped the full-sleeved silhouette into a corseted form. Layers of vivid blue ombré tulle give a sfumato effect at the shoulders, introducing a dramatic burst of colour against the monochrome base. Interestingly, the seamless blending of colours and tones—in this case the blue disappearing into the black lace– was a Renaissance technique seen in the works of Leonardo da Vinci. Ambani paired the jacket with a matching midi pencil skirt finished with an oversized scalloped hem. Stylist Dani Michelle accessorised the look with drop earrings, a statement diamond ring, Schiaparelli’s Keyhole pumps and a Chanel plexiglass clutch. For beauty, Ambani opted for defined lashes, blushed cheeks and glossy pink lips, while her hair was styled in a sleek bun.
Ambani has championed Schiaparelli’s couture for several years. In 2024, she collaborated with creative director Daniel Roseberry on the fashion house’s first-ever custom sari. Made in electric blue, the concept sari featured a detachable sculptural silver blouse inspired by looks from Schiaparelli’s Fall 2024 Haute Couture collection, translating the maison’s surrealist codes into an Indian silhouette.

In Isha’s custom Schiaparelli look, the fresh futuristic blue adds some levity to the look. To do the same, if you have a lace dress, you can add an organza scarf tied into it to add a touch of color play and interest. Another way of doing so, is if you have a lace top, pair it with a fitted organza skirt of a playful blue, green, yellow or pink to add that pop,” says Divya Balakrishnan, Vogue India fashion associate.
