Iris Law was one of many celebrities in attendance at the 2026 LACMA Gala, held tonight in Los Angeles, wearing the ever-popular metallic shoe trend. The style swept the red carpet and continues to be a fixture in a slew of celebrities’ wardrobes.
The model’s footwear hailed from Paris Texas, a brand with a myriad of metallic options. Law chose the Lidia, a slingback sandal currently retailing for $895 on the brand’s website. The silver silhouette features mirrored uppers that transition into rounded open toes and thin but sturdy straps that sit across the wearer’s toes. Similar thin straps wrap around the wearer’s heels, keeping the shoe securely in place as one walks. Silver leather insoles embossed with the brand’s name gave way to leather outsoles and 4.1-inch stiletto heels.

These mirrored leather sandals are angled just so that they appear to be an extension of the foot, naturally positioned and crafted so the transition from foot to heel is seamless. As we get into the colder weather, metallic footwear continues to prevail, seen on many celebrities in the past few months. Penelope Cruz, Lily James and Amal Clooney have all gotten in on the metallic footwear trend on the red carpet, wearing variations of high-shine styles from mules to slingbacks like Law’s.
Metallic footwear is often paired with a full-on metallic look, like in Law’s case, or worn with a rather plain ensemble to create interest, drawing the eye down. The “Pistol” actress donned a metallic gown to complement her footwear. The style was crafted of tiles of metallic fabric strung together like a knight’s chainmail. The garment was sheer in parts, and more opaque in others.

Law’s chosen garment was sleeveless and featured a high neckline. A multitude of stud earrings adorned the model’s ears, all fitted with high-shine gemstones. To match the metallic silver theme, Law’s eye makeup was also a shiny silver, focused mainly on the inner corners of her eyes to make them pop.
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s 15th annual Art+Film Gala brought Hollywood and the art world together on Saturday, honoring artist Vija Celmins and “Dune” director Denis Villeneuve. Leonardo DiCaprio and LACMA trustee Eva Chow returned as co-chairs, while Gucci continued its presenting sponsorship, a role it has held since the gala’s 2011 debut. Blackpink’s Rosé was tapped to perform. Proceeds support the museum’s film programming, exhibitions and educational initiatives.
