According to the NSE block deal data, SBI Mutual Fund bought 1,66,66,667 shares, or around 8.07% of RHI Magnesita India’s equity, at Rs 360 per share. Bandhan Mutual Fund purchased 27,77,777 shares, equivalent to around 1.4%, while Nippon India Mutual Fund acquired 24,96,780 shares, or around 1.2%. Clarus Capital 1 bought 10,00,000 shares, representing around 0.5% of the equity.
On the sell side, Dalmia Bharat Refractories sold 2,29,41,224 shares at Rs 360 apiece, according to NSE data.
Dalmia Bharat Refractories held 2,59,00,000 shares, or 12.54%, in RHI Magnesita India, based on the shareholding details provided. The shares sold in Tuesday’s transaction therefore represented a substantial portion of its holding.
RHI Magnesita shares rise 3%
RHI Magnesita India shares finished Tuesday’s trading session at Rs 379.20, up 3.04% from the previous close of Rs 368, according to the price details provided. The counter traded in a range of Rs 372.20-Rs 397.85 on the NSE during the session. The company’s shares have a 52-week range of Rs 508-Rs 323.40 on the BSE. RHI Magnesita India had a market capitalisation of Rs 7,835.70 crore on the BSE as of September 22, 2026, according to the details provided.
SBI MF accounts for majority of purchases
The transaction saw the entire 2.29 crore shares sold by Dalmia Bharat Refractories being acquired by the four buyers.
Of the total shares, SBI Mutual Fund acquired 1.67 crore shares, making it the largest buyer in the transaction. Bandhan Mutual Fund, Nippon India Mutual Fund and Clarus Capital 1 acquired the remaining shares.
At Rs 360 per share, the respective transaction values were approximately Rs 600 crore for SBI MF, Rs 100 crore for Bandhan MF, Rs 90 crore for Nippon India MF and Rs 36 crore for Clarus Capital 1.
