For the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration at her residence, Antilia, in South Mumbai’s posh neighbourhood, Nita Ambani wore an orange-and-pink Kanchipuram silk sari from Advaya by founder and creative director K.H. Radharaman. This look featured the most talked-about necklace from Amrapali Jewels. Here’s everything you need to know about the creation.
The sari featured a bright orange body framed with a fuchsia pink border, and an overall metallic sheen, signature of Kanchipuram silk. She paired it with a matching orange potli bag, decorated with orange tassels and intricate detailing.
For jewellery, she chose an elaborate neckpiece from Jaipur-based label Amrapali that meticulously pieced together several items, collected over many years, into one statement collar. 14 master karigars took over four months to complete the neckpiece, bringing together jewels—each with its own history and regional identity. At its centre sat a traditional temple jewellery-style necklace, while old jhumkas, naths, XXL chandbali earrings, and passas (hair jewellery) were reimagined within the necklace as an extension of it. Gold jadau, polki, diamonds, multicoloured gemstones and strings of pearls ran through the piece, intricately connecting the various elements while lending it a delicate appeal. Interestingly, Sonam Kapoor wore the same piece in 2025, pairing it with an archival Rahul Mishra Angarakha.
Ambani finished the look with antique round earrings, stacked bangles and a cocktail ring, while a few hairpins and brooches were placed along her hair that was tied into a choti with gajra at the end. Her makeup complemented the colour scheme of her sari, featuring pink eyeshadow, glossy lips and a matching pink bindi.
