Janhvi Kapoor has aced the wedding guest mood board. The actor wore versatile silhouettes across her sister Anshula Kapoor’s wedding festivities last month featuring saris, lehengas, gowns and anarkalis. This time around, for a close friend’s wedding in London, Kapoor chose a custom sage-green lehenga from designer Manish Malhotra.
The look featured a mermaid-cut lehenga embellished with tonal sequin embroidery across the body and finished with delicate lace trims along the waist and hemline. Kapoor paired the lehenga with a high-neck blouse with sweetheart-shaped cut-outs in the front and back. The actor wore a matching sheer dupatta with scallop hem and lace and sequin embroidery. Kapoor’s longtime stylist Meagan Concessio accessorised the look with diamond stud earrings with kaan chains. She turned to a Jimmy Choo Bon Bon bag in satin and lace with a bracelet-inspired handle and drawstring chain for the perfect wedding guest accessory. For beauty, Kapoor chose defined lashes, blushed cheeks and glossy pink lips, while styling her hair in a textured high bun.
Kapoor has long shared a close association with Manish Malhotra, repeatedly turning to the designer for wedding celebrations. Most recently, she wore a one-shoulder dress for her sister Anshula Kapoor’s mehendi ceremony and a custom Banarasi silk sari for the reception. At another wedding ceremony at Udaipur in November of 2025, the actor wore a champagne gold high-waist skirt set. For Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s sangeet ceremony in July of 2024, Kapoor wore a blue three-dimensional feather peacock lehenga set.
From Vogue‘s fashion desk:
“A contemporary lehenga look like this is apropos of a sangeet night or reception ceremony where the setting is not traditional but modernist instead. Diamond jewellery set in platinum will go perfectly with cool tones like sage green while also adding to the overall edginess of the look,” says Ashwini Arun Kumar, Vogue India fashion features editor.
