At the press conference for her new Netflix series Operation Safed Sagar, Dia Mirza stepped out in a powder blue and ivory sari from a Mumbai-based brand, Label Anushree. The ensemble brought together intricate pattern work with matching motifs across the sari and blouse. The coordinated detailing created continuity between the two pieces, giving it a more unified look.
Mirza’s sari featured an ivory base covered in powder-blue floral motifs inspired by the gridded appearance of cross-stitch embroidery. The pattern extended across the length of the fabric, continuing from the pleated front to the pallu. Small tassels lined the edge of the pallu.
Her round-neck blouse, cut with short sleeves, featured motibharat work arranged in a pixelated pattern. Traditionally practiced by artisans in Gujarat, motibharat is a bead embroidery technique that uses tiny glass beads to create intricate motifs, often inspired by flowers, birds and geometric patterns. The craft has long been associated with the state’s decorative textile traditions and has been used to embellish garments and accessories, with its ornate patterns drawn from the region’s surroundings and cultural heritage.
Looking at the blouse, the beads were carefully sewn to reflect the pixelated floral motifs in a three-dimensional, tactile form. Their precise placement gave the surface a mosaic-like quality, while the interplay of colour and beadwork made the flowers appear almost digitally rendered, translating a traditional Gujarati craft into a modernised motif across the blouse.
Styled by Theia Tekchandaney, the look was accessorised with drop earrings and a ring. Harry Rajput styled her hair in a centre-parted low bun, while her makeup featured groomed brows, blush and a muted pink lip.

Pair this print with pearl earrings and open waves. Your scent is more important than your accessories,” says Divya Balakrishnan, Vogue India fashion associate.
