Sonam Kapoor’s copper brown eyeshadow and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan’s berry pink blush defined this week’s best beauty looks
This week in beauty was defined by warm brown and pink eyeshadows, with pinky nudes and glossy lips making a recurring appearance. Tightly lined kohl also featured across several looks, including those by Sonam Kapoor and Aditi Rao Hydari. Nails stayed fresh and understated, ranging from crisp white bases to playful pink chrome details. Hair was either left loose and natural or pulled back into sleek buns, allowing the outfits and jewellery to take centre stage. Together, the looks offered plenty of inspiration for beauty moments that felt polished, wearable and relatively easy to recreate.
Maitreyi Ramakrishnan’s sun-kissed, bronzed look worked perfectly with her street style aesthetic. Her long hair was left loose in its natural texture, keeping the look relaxed. The base was sheer and skin-like. Berry pink blush was swept across the cheeks and extended towards the temples for a fresh, flushed effect. On the eyes, warm brown eyeshadow was layered with a deeper shade towards the outer corners to create a soft, smoky finish. Dark liner defined the upper lash line before extending into a subtle wing, while the lower lash line was given a touch of smoky definition to make the eyes more intense. Highlighter was placed on the high points of the face and inner corners of the eyes to add a luminous finish. Her nails brought a playful element to the street style look with long pink extensions finished with chrome details. The lips were coated in a glossy nude pink with a deeper lip liner shaping and defining the lips.
An ethereal traditional look came through on Sonam Kapoor, whose sleek beauty look allowed her jewellery to remain the focal point. Her hair was neatly slicked back into a low bun, while her complexion appeared smooth, even and luminous with a satin finish rather than an intensely dewy one. Warm pink blush added colour and warmth to the face. The eyelids were washed in a copper brown eyeshadow, with black kohl lining both the upper and lower lash lines to create depth. A pink-brown lipstick complemented the rest of the look without taking attention away from the eyes. She finished the look with a super clean, white manicure that kept the look minimal and refined.
For a minimal traditional look, Aditi Rao Hydari wore her hair loose with a relaxed side part and soft, natural waves through the lengths. Her foundation looked fresh and sheer with an almost bare skin quality that allowed her natural features to show through. Contour subtly enhanced her bone structure, while a peachy pink blush was blended seamlessly across the cheeks. Neutral brown eyeshadow softly enhanced her eye colour before diffusing into a smoky effect towards the outer corners. Deep kohl was tightly lined along the lash line to define the eye shape, while separated lashes were finished with mascara. Her lips were a rosy nude with a blurred outline and satin finish that closely mirrored her natural lip colour.
A soft-focus, romantic look was embraced by Pratibha Ranta in her white sari. Her complexion was kept warm and healthy with a satin finish base, while the makeup remained extremely simple and close to a no-makeup makeup look. A warm pink blush added subtle colour to the cheeks, with a coordinating eyeshadow diffused across the lids for a monochromatic effect. Her hair was styled in a voluminous blow out with a centre part. Face framing pieces added to its polished yet relaxed quality. Her lips were finished in a warm nude pink with a glossy sheen, closely complementing the blush.
