The story so far:

On July 22, U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright and Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman signed a civil nuclear cooperation agreement and a bilateral nuclear safeguards agreement. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, the deal would lay the foundation for a 30-year multi-billion-dollar nuclear partnership between the U.S. and the Persian Gulf kingdom, with U.S. companies positioned to help Riyadh build its own nuclear sector.
