11 cool ways to sport the micro-bangs trend

There might not be more intimidating (but surprisingly versatile) bangs than micro-bangs. You can go old Hollywood glam and channel your inner Audrey Hepburn à la Sabrina or edgy and channel ’90s rocker grunge. And when it comes to length, anything goes when you have a mini-bangs cut.

Recently, the cut has had a renaissance of sorts. “We will definitely see more micro-bangs,” celebrity hairstylist Ursula Stephen tells Vogue. “They’re always on trend as long as you can pull them off.”

Celebrity hairstylist and Shark global ambassador Bobby Eliot agrees and says that micro-bangs can work on all different types of textures (but maybe not on all hairlines, he adds, as they would be difficult to pull off if you have something like a cowlick—just an FYI).

So should you decide to commit to the fringe life, maybe consider the bangs that every cool girl we know is getting.

Zendaya’s press-tour looks for Spider-Man: Brand New Day have all been elite, but what we love most is the return of her micro-bangs. Styled by Stephen, these are what the stylist calls a cool razor cut. “I moulded them to the head and then smoothed them using a small flatiron,” she says. “Next, I pieced the hair around the face using Moroccanoil’s Sculpting Pomade and my fingertips.”
